Social/Emotional Development (SED)
Social/Emotional Support (SED)
Counselors collaborate with faculty and staff to help support and nurture the social/emotional development of students, through the delivery of the Character Strong curriculum and co-facilitatation of the Signs of Suicide Prevention Training program with 9th and 10th grade health teachers. Counselors are key players in the implementation of interventions and strategies to support identified students who struggle with their overall emotional health. Counselors facilitate psycho-educational support groups, such as managing stress, coping with anxiety, grief, substance use, on an as-needed basis. To access community mental health resources, reach out to any of our school counselors.
